ABOUT ME

This website is my testimony to the Lord Jesus Christ and the Heavenly Father. I first gave my heart to Jesus when I was 12 years old at my grandmother's church in the USA, en route to my family's home overseas. My earthly father raised us with a bedtime prayer (The Lord's Prayer) until we were 8 or 9. After that, the only talk of God or Jesus I remember was on brief trips back to the USA and attending my grandmother's church. I thank God for her faith in Jesus, which I observed over the years on visits.

 

Then, when I was 15, on a trip to Jerusalem, two young people with a guitar approached me while standing with my family near the Jaffa Gate of the Old City to witness Jesus' love and mercy. I was captivated by their witness to me and their spirit of kindness. My father showed patience as I was detaining the family from our day's planned drive to Damascus, Syria. My father revealed to me many years later that he saw the spiritual need in me and wanted to expose me to Jesus when it was possible. But he was not personally walking with Christ, and we lived far from Western civilization, so exposure to my grandmother and her church would be on brief trips back to the homeland.

 

My testimony begins in 1990. Aside from this page titled "About", there is much more to discover about my journey, from 1991, when I joined a religion. While this is my testimony to Jesus and his saving power, it is also addressing my participation, and indeed baptism, in the Watchtower Jehovah's Witness religion. I believe the Holy Spirit has guided me on this journey from the moment I pledged my heart to Him to discover and worship God in Spirit and Truth. I have worked on this paper for a few years and will probably work on it again in the future. We are all growing creatures, and as we grow towards Yeshua and the Heavenly Father, we will understand more, adhere more to his commandments, and overcome this world and our flesh to live spiritual lives in praise to the Father!

 

My prayer is that the Heavenly Father bless you as you take an interest in getting to know Him. He is your creator and sent his only begotten Son as a mercy gift for the atonement of your sins. To my Jehovah's Witness (JW) friends, my prayer is that you will reach out to me if you need help in understanding what the Bible actually says about true worship and salvation. I know the pain associated with "waking up" from deception, and also the joy in discovering the true Jesus Christ. If you want fellowship as you cling to Jesus, please contact me. There are many former JWs that have found the true Jesus and are happy for it, and are SAVED for it!

 

To those who "wake up" and feel mental and spiritual distress, I assure you that God (Jehovah) and Jesus Christ are real, but they are not precisely the same God and Christ as taught by the Watchtower. If we let the Bible be the "touchstone" of what is TRUE, then there is no need to "throw the baby Jesus out with the bathwater", as I like to say. Reject the doctrine of men, but learn and consume the Word of God. Read my six rebuttal points to some of the Watchtower's key doctrines, which are not biblically sound teachings. My attitude is, "Let the word of God be found true, but men be found to be lacking". So, I am humbled to say I don't know everything, but I'm yielding to the Holy Spirit to continue my enlightenment towards knowing and understanding God. Please join me in this journey. Then we will say, "…Come, let's go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we may walk in his paths."
